Here, Chairman of Petrovietnam Trade Union Nguyen Manh Kha shared the difficulties and challenges that workers are facing and acknowledged their efforts and contributions during the implementation of this key project.
Mr. Kha also gave meaningful gifts to workers, showing the Trade Union's concern for the material and spiritual lives of workers. The visit not only aimed to encourage morale but also to help grasp the actual situation and promptly resolve difficulties for workers at the construction site.
Introduction to Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plants
Nhon Trach 3 and 4 power plants are two of Vietnam's key energy projects, built in Nhon Trach Industrial Park, Dong Nai province. These are gas power plants using modern technology, making an important contribution to the national electricity system.
Both plants use liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel as the main source, with a total design capacity of 1,500 MW each. These are projects that apply the most advanced technology in the field of gas power generation, helping to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions compared to traditional thermal power plants.
Technology at Nhon Trach Power Plant
The technology applied at Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plants is advanced combined cycle gas technology (CCGT), including:
- High-performance gas turbines and steam turbines
- Modern emission control system
- Advanced water circulation technology, reducing water consumption
- Automation monitoring and operation system
- Energy storage technology and smart energy management
These factories are also equipped with real-time environmental monitoring systems, ensuring compliance with strict Vietnamese and international environmental standards.

Significance of the project for Vietnam's energy industry
Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plant Projects have strategic significance for Vietnam's energy security and socio-economic development:
- Ensuring stable electricity supply for the southern region and the whole country
- Reduce dependence on hydropower and coal, contributing to diversifying energy sources
- Apply clean technology, reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- Promote local economic development and create jobs for thousands of workers
- Contribute to implementing commitments at COP26 on clean energy transition
The fact that the Chairman of the Petrovietnam Trade Union visited and encouraged workers at the construction site shows the Trade Union's interest in workers' lives and its commitment to working with businesses to achieve sustainable development goals.
This visit is also an opportunity to recognize the contributions of workers in putting high-tech projects into operation, contributing to modernizing Vietnam's energy industry.
