Petrovietnam Veterans Association Honors Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs' Children at National Headquarters
Commemorating the 79th Anniversary of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026)
On July 26, 2026, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Veterans Association (Central Committee), the Petrovietnam Veterans Association organized a visit and gift-giving ceremony for wounded soldiers and children of martyrs working at the agency. This meaningful activity aims to express gratitude for the significant contributions of wounded soldiers and martyrs' families to the nation's struggle for liberation and construction.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Chairman of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association; Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association; along with members of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association's Executive Board and representatives from the Central Vietnam Veterans Association.
A Meaningful Tribute Activity
Chairman of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association Nguyen Van Nen expressed: "Petrovietnam always remembers and deeply values the sacrifices of past generations, particularly the wounded soldiers and martyrs who fearlessly faced difficulties and hardships to protect national sovereignty. We are honored to meet, converse, and share with the wounded soldiers and children of martyrs working at the Central Vietnam Veterans Association."
During the meeting, Petrovietnam representatives presented 30 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, to wounded soldiers and children of martyrs working at the agency. This is an annual activity of Petrovietnam on the occasion of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs Day, reflecting the corporation's profound concern for families who have contributed to the revolution.
Sharing and Recognition
Ms. Tran Thi Minh, a third-class wounded soldier working at the Central Vietnam Veterans Association, emotionally stated: "We are deeply moved by the attention of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association. Although the gifts are small, they contain deep feelings, expressing the gratitude of today's generation toward the older generations who sacrificed for the nation's independence and freedom."
The meeting also served as an opportunity for veterans to share experiences and strengthen solidarity within the Petrovietnam veterans community and across the nation.
