Vietnam is taking a huge step forward on the world technology map when Intel officially handed over 31 devices for semiconductor chip assembly and testing to Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park and Hanoi National University.

What is worth noting is that this is not a simulation device for ordinary students.

This is a machine modified directly from Intel's actual chip production line

That means Vietnamese students will have access to:
• chip packaging process
• semiconductor testing
• operate real industrial equipment
• The environment is similar to an international semiconductor factory

VIETNAM IS FILLING INTO THE GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN

For many years, the semiconductor world was largely dominated by:
• TSMC of Taiwan
• Samsung of Korea
• Intel of America

dominate the core stages.

But now, Vietnam is emerging as a center:
• chip assembly
• chip testing
• semiconductor packaging
• Research AI Chip and IoT Chip

Intel calls Vietnam an "important link" in the global semiconductor supply chain

GROWTH OF VIETNAM'S SEMICONDUCTOR INDUSTRY

| Category | Previously | Current |
|---|---|---|
| Chip design business | ~40 | nearly 60 |
| Assembly & testing business | 7 | 15 |
| Semiconductor engineer | ~10,000 | ~15,000 |
| Related Technicians | several thousand | more than 10,000 |

IMPORTANT NOT PHPHOTO 31 MACHINE

Which is:
Vietnam is starting to own a "real semiconductor training ecosystem".

Up to now, the biggest weaknesses of Vietnam's high-tech industry are:
• learn a lot of theory
• little access to real machines
• lack of industrial production environment

Intel is helping Vietnam close that gap.

THE GOVERNMENT IS SETTING VERY BIG GOALS

According to the national program until 2030:
• Train at least 50,000 semiconductor workers with university degrees or higher
• Build 4 national semiconductor laboratories
• Build 18 labs at training facilities

WHY IS CHIP SO IMPORTANT?

Semiconductor chips are present in nearly every industry:
• AI
• phone
• electric cars
• AI server
• satellite
• drones
• national defense
• industrial robots

Whichever country masters semiconductors will have an advantage:
• technology
• economics
• security
• Future AI

Vietnam may not be competing directly with TSMC or Samsung in advanced wafer production, but is moving very quickly in:
• chip packaging
• testing
• IC design
• AI Semiconductor human resources

This could be the foundation for a "new generation of high-tech engineers" in Vietnam in the next 10 years
