In the context of the global energy market constantly fluctuating due to geopolitical conflicts, resource competition and the transition to clean energy, Petrovietnam is showing a very clear direction: expanding international cooperation to increase energy autonomy for Vietnam.

Notably, Petrovietnam has just strengthened cooperation with major Indian energy enterprises, including Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) - one of Asia's leading oil and gas corporations.

Notable points of this cooperation:

⚡ Both sides focused on exchanging experiences on:
• Digital transformation in the oil and gas industry
• Optimize the operation of the petrochemical refinery
• Research and train high quality human resources
• Energy management and sustainable development
• Applying new technology in the oil and gas chain

BSR and IOC also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on research and training, opening up the possibility of deeper cooperation in the field of petrochemical refining and modern operating technology.

This is not simply a commercial cooperation but also a strategic step to help:
• Diversify energy partners
• Reduced dependence on risk areas
• Increase resilience to global fluctuations
• Access advanced management technology from international corporations

In the context of international oil and gas transport routes such as Hormuz or the Red Seacontinuously posing risks, Petrovietnam's expansion of relationships with major partners in Asia such as India is extremely important for Vietnam's long-term energy security.

India is currently one of the fastest growing energy consuming countries in the world, and is also developing strongly in:
• Petrochemical refining technology
• LNG
• Green Hydrogen
• AI and digital transformation in the energy industry

This gives Petrovietnam more opportunities to learn large-scale operating models, optimize costs and accelerate the transformation process into a modern integrated energy corporation.

In the future, this type of cooperation may expand to:
• LNG
• Hydrogen
• Deep petrochemicals
• Energy terminal
• New fuel supply chain
• AI for the oil and gas industry

Connecting with international energy giants shows that Petrovietnam is transforming from a traditional oil and gas enterprise to a multi-sector energy corporation model, adapting to new global energy trends.
