An infrared video recently released by Ukraine is attracting strong attention worldwide when it records a drone allegedly approaching an unidentified flying object (UFO) at an altitude of about 800 meters.
According to information from Serhiy Beskrestnov, advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, this object appears as a flat sphere, surrounded by six protruding structures resembling spikes. Infrared cameras show that the object emits clear heat and behind it appears a stream of hot air or a cloud with a higher temperature than the surrounding environment.
What makes the video special is that the object does not have the familiar shape of a regular plane, helicopter or drone. This has sparked a series of speculations in the military community and international observers.
Some experts believe that this may not be a “UFO” in the alien sense, but a new type of Russian experimental weapon. In the context of increasingly fierce fighting, both sides continuously deploy military technologies that have never been publicly announced.
The video was recorded in May 2025, and according to Ukraine, the government knew about the incident in advance. However, only now has the recording been released, sparking much debate about the true nature of the object.
Possibilities raised by experts include:
1. New generation reconnaissance or electronic warfare drones.
2. Test flight equipmenthas a special propulsion system.
3. Military hot air balloon with heat-absorbing shell.
4. Sensor phenomenon or infrared interference.
5. An unidentified object.
Although there is no evidence that this is an extraterrestrial object, the video still shows that the modern battlefield is becoming a place where technologies are increasingly difficult to identify using traditional methods.
In modern conflicts, the lines between drones, missiles, electronic warfare equipment and experimental technology are increasingly blurred. What was once considered a “UFO” is sometimes just a generation of weapons that the public has never heard of.
This event continues to affirm that modern warfare not only takes place on the ground but is also a fierce competition in technology, artificial intelligence and unmanned combat capabilities.
If this is truly a new weapon, it could open a completely different chapter in modern military history.
