In response to Environmental Action Month, Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant - a branch of Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company (PVCFC), a subsidiary of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) - has organized the launch of a comprehensive industrial environmental cleanliness campaign. The event saw the active participation of numerous cadres, engineers, workers, youth union members, and interns working at the plant.
Background and Significance of the Campaign
The industrial environmental cleanliness campaign was initiated within the framework of Environmental Action Month 2023, demonstrating the strong commitment of PVCFC and Petrovietnam to sustainable development and environmental protection. This is not just an annual activity but also a confirmation of the responsibility of state-owned enterprises in protecting the living environment for the community.
According to the plan, the campaign will last for one month with many practical activities such as: cleaning up production areas, inspecting and treating emission sources, planting trees, and raising environmental protection awareness among workers and the local community.

The launch ceremony was attended by leaders of PVCFC, the Board of Directors of Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant, along with all cadres, workers, youth union members, and interns. At the ceremony, representatives jointly signed a commitment document to effectively implement environmental protection work.

Specifically, the plant's gas emission treatment system uses Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to reduce NOx emissions, the wastewater treatment system meets Class A standards before being discharged into the environment, and the CO2 recovery system is used to produce fertilizers instead of directly releasing them into the atmosphere.
